Imam Besir Bilal Aygun was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. After completing primary education in the US, he traveled to Turkey to study and obtain an in-depth Islamic education. He graduated from the Istanbul University of Islamic Studies as an imam and khatib, and was granted ijazah (authoritative license) by the Presidency of Religious Affairs in Turkey in 2009. Afterwards, he traveled to Damascus, Syria to specialize in Arabic language, grammar, literature, and public speaking. After his studies abroad, he returned to Brooklyn to serve as an imam in the same community in which he grew up. Since then, he has served as imam and religious director in many communities in the US, including recently at the Muslim Association of Lehigh Valley (MALV) in Allentown, PA. He strives to serve the diverse needs of the Muslim community through religious classes, family and individual counseling, interfaith engagements, and working to serve the greater community to help spread peace, knowledge, and understanding.

Exclusions
- Saudi Umrah Visa: Certain non-US citizens may be required to secure an Umrah Visa. This is not included in the cost.
- PCR test cost is not included; currently PCR tests are not required but this may change subject to country travel advisories.
- Travel cost to and from airports in the USA are not included.
- All other meals are not covered.
- Cost of procuring zamzam water is not included.
Optional Cairo Excursion
We are offering a 2-day layover in Cairo, Egypt. You will arrive into Cairo the evening of Dec 31 and can opt to select this package and stay 2 nights in Cairo with departure on January 3rd (CAI departure 3:40 AM; EWR arrival 9:00 AM). Layover includes:
- Tours to historical sites including Al Azhar, Pyramids at Giza, The Citadel, Egyptian Museum, Khal Al-Khalili Bazaar; all admission fees included.
- Breakfast at hotel, Nile river dinner cruise.
- 2 nights hotel accommodation.
- Airline layover fee and Egypt Tourist visa.
- Inland transportation.
